Jason Dunn Breaks Down Most Important Impact Players for Chiefs in the Super Bowl

Jason Dunn of Chief Concerns joins the Game Plan to talk about impact players that will make a difference in the Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl is nearly underway and plenty of people will be talking about the matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.

Much of the conversation has been about quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Brock Purdy, but other players are important and impactful too. In fact, Jason Dunn of Chief Concerns joined the Game Plan to discuss those players the Chiefs will need to lean on to take home the big win.

"Well, unfortunately, I've heard that Joe Thuney may be a long shot to play this game, but we do have a very capable guy that's coming in. Allegretti who has done a tremendous job, actually played in the last game against the Ravens."

Nick Allegretti is the backup offensive lineman who will be replacing Joe Thuney in the big game, and he did a solid job against the Baltimore Ravens. While going into the biggest game of the year with a backup is not ideal, Allegretti has earned his shot.

"Yeah, Chris Jones is one of the most talented defensive tackles to ever play the game. So his impact is going to be key, especially coming after Brock Purdy and stopping Christian McCaffrey from going to new heights."

Dunn is cluing in to what many people believe will be the biggest difference maker for the Chiefs, and that is defensive lineman Chris Jones. Jones secured 10.5 sacks in the 2023 season, which is astounding for a lineman.

Jones should rattle Purdy often and early to throw him off his game, and everyone knows he does not do well when he is pressured throughout an entire game.
