Joe Valerio Believes Pressure of the Moment Could Derail the 49ers

Joe Valerio of Bleav in Chiefs thinks the skill of the 49ers team and the pressure to perform could hinder their big win.

The Kansas City Chiefs are currently the underdogs in odds for the Super Bowl. While this might not be all that surprising given their regular season performance, it's that underdog nature that will benefit them more heading into the big game.

Joe Valerio of Bleav in Chiefs broke down how all the pressure is on the San Francisco 49ers to show up and win, which could end up being their Achilles heel.

"This team is pretty much maxed out. This is as good as this 49ers team will be. Given their draft positioning next year, given the money they have to spend with some of the big stars. They have to pay to keep them. I just really feel like that's actually working against them because I think all the pressure is on them right now to win this game...I think the Chiefs could actually get away with losing this game and not feel the heat, because I don't really think there's a lot of people believe they'd even be here right now."

The 49ers are a heavily skillful team, but will their players show up when they are needed? The Chiefs have Travis Kelce and Patric Mahomes, who know what it's like in the big game.

The concern right now is on QB Brock Purdy. Will he be able to keep his composure in the biggest game of his career? Time will tell, but the pressure could be the biggest problem for the 49ers.
