Michael Fabiano on Why Bijan Robinson Could Be a Big Fantasy Pickup Next Season

Michael Fabiano believes with Arthur Smith out of Atlanta, Bijan Robinson could have a better year.

The 2024 NFL Season is still a ways away, but Fantasy Football managers will want to get the inside track on what players could have a breakout year. One such player may be Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson.

Robinson ended the year with 976 yards and 4 TDs. While those numbers are nothing to scoff at in terms of a rookie year, Michael Fabiano believes he could have a much better year with the Falcons changing up their coaching staff.

"I don't know how you're going to tell me, Bob Harris, if I hit the mark with the player or this is not what you think real love is for whatever reason. I got to start off with Bijan Robinson. He didn't have a bad rookie year. He finished ninth in points for the season among running backs, but he was only 17th in terms of points per game. Among running backs, you played in at least ten games, so we all thought he'd be better. And I don't know that it was his fault. Arthur Smith is now gone and I'm guessing now with the new regime in place, Bob Harris, that Bijan will get the ball a hell of a lot more and actually meet the expectations we had for him as a rookie."

Fabiano is right in that Robinson did not have a bad rookie year at all. His touchdowns were a lot lower than fantasy managers were hoping for, but that can be worked on in the offseason. Arthur Smith is no longer the OC for the Falcons, so a new coaching mind could elevate Robinson much more.

"Yeah, I think, you know, Zach Robinson is the offensive coordinator. I don't know if you can draw a direct line from what we should expect from Robinson versus what we got from Kyren Williams. But Williams was phenomenal. 1144 rushing yards, third most in the NFL last season, but more impressive was his 19-carry-per-game average over the games he was healthy."

Zach Robinson has come over from the Rams, where he served as a pass game coordinator and QB coach. He is now the new OC for the Falcons and could use his experience working with Kyren Williams to elevate Robinson's game.

Fabiano and Harris believe that Bijan Robinson could end up being a far more lucrative RB pick for fantasy managers next season.
