3 Minnesota schools to play in 2023 NCAA men's ice hockey tournament

Minnesota will be represented by three teams in this year's NCAA men's ice hockey tournament, with the Gophers the No. 1 seed.
The brackets for this year's tourney was released Sunday evening, with the Gophers, St. Cloud State, and Minnesota State-Mankato all placed in the same regional section.
The Gophers, the No. 1 overall seed, will face Canisius in their first game at the Scheels Arena in Fargo on Thursday, with the winner move on to the quarterfinal on Saturday against the winner of St. Cloud and Minnesota State.
The Gophers finished the season with a 26-8-1 record and enter the tourney as favorites. St. Cloud State finished 22-12-3 and MSU-Mankato 24-12-1.
