Koi Perich, a four-star football recruit from Esko, Minnesota, has committed to head coach P.J. Fleck and the Minnesota Golden Gophers

The Class of 2024 safety has done it all for Esko High School. Last season, as a junior, he rushed for more than 800 yards and 11 touchdowns, had nine receiving touchdowns, two punt return touchdowns, three kick return touchdowns and 75 tackles, three interceptions four forced fumbles and two sacks. 

Perich picked Minnesota over offers from other FBS schools including Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Nebraska, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Washington and Wisconsin.

The 6-foot-1 safety is the No. 2-ranked recruit in Minnesota in the Class of 2024, according to 247Sports, which says he's the 28th-best safety in the country in '24. 

He's now the fifth of the ten highest-rated recruits in Minnesota committed to the Gophers. The other five have not committed to a college, per 247Sports.
