The Missouri Tigers men's basketball team will be in Minneapolis for a game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Nov. 16 this year.

The teams announced a two-game agreement, with Missouri visiting Minnesota this year followed by the Gophers traveling to Missouri to play the Tigers during the 2024-25 season. The date for the game at Missouri hasn't been set.

The games will mark the first meeting between the two schools in more than 60 years. In fact, they've only played twice, an 80-62 Gophers win in 1959 and a 60-56 Gophers win in 1960.

Missouri finished fourth in the SEC and finished 24-9 overall last season. The Tigers earned a No. 7 seed in the NCAA tournament after reaching the SEC Tournament semifinals, and wound up beating Utah State in their first NCAA tournament game before falling to No. 15 seed Princeton in the Round of 32.

Missouri will look quite a bit different this season as leading scorer Kobe Brown was drafted 30th overall by the Los Angeles Clippers. Their second-leading scorer D'Moi Hodge has also moved on.

The Gophers finished last in the Big Ten and 9-22 overall last season. They'll also look quite a bit different after Jamison Battle transferred to Ohio State and starting point guard Ta'lon Cooper transferred to South Carolina. Minnesota also lost Jaden Henley and Treyton Thompson in the transfer portal.

Minnesota opens the season Nov. 6 against Bethune-Cookman. The only other games announced so far are against New Orleans Nov. 30 and Maine on Dec. 29.
