Max Brosmer is going to need more than just Daniel Jackson to throw the ball to in 2024 and the Gophers appear to be hunting for talented options in the transfer portal.

Within the past three days two receivers have confirmed that Minnesota has offered them a scholarshiop: Wake Forest transfer Jahmal Banks and Oklahoma State transfer Blaine Green.

Banks, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound receiver, confirmed Friday that he's received an offer from the Gophers. Banks led Wake Forest this season with 59 catches for 653 yards and four touchdowns. Banks was more explosive in 2022, needing just 42 receptions to produce 636 yards and nine touchdowns.

In 2022 he had Sam Hartman, who starred at Notre Dame this season, throwing him passes. This season Banks was catching balls from a less proven quarterback in sophomore Mitch Griffis.

What's more is that Banks had the highest contested catch rate (58.6%) of anyone in the ACC in 2022, and that rate ranked fifth among Power-5 receivers.

Green, a 6-foot-1, 220-pound receiver, is leaving Oklahoma State after pulling in 13 catches for 102 yards as a redshirt sophomore this season. Green missed the entire 2022 season with an injury after producing as a true freshman in 2021, when he caught 21 passes for 314 yards and a touchdown.

247Sports and Rivals rated Green as a three-star prospect coming out of high school in Allen, Texas, while ESPN rated him as a four-star recruit.

If Minnesota can land Banks and/or Green, it'll give Brosmer, who led the FCS in passing yards this season, some dynamic weapons on the outside.
