Here is the 2023-24 Gophers men's basketball schedule

The Big Ten opener is Dec. 3 at Ohio State.

After the Golden Gophers play Macalester College in an exhibition game Nov. 2, the 2023-24 regular season begins with seven non-conference games followed by the Big Ten men's basketball opener at Ohio State on Dec. 3. 

That Dec. 3 game against the Buckeyes will feature Minnesota going up against small forward Jamison Battle, who left the Gophers via the transfer portal after last season's 9-22 record. 

All seven non-conference games will be played at Williams Arena. 

  • Nov. 6 vs. Bethune Cookman
  • Nov. 10 vs. Texas San Antonio
  • Nov. 16 vs. Missouri
  • Nov. 18 vs. USC Upstate
  • Nov. 21 vs. Pine Bluff
  • Nov. 26 at San Francisco (Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors)
  • Nov. 30 vs. New Orleans

After facing Ohio State Dec. 3 and Nebraska on Dec. 6, the Gophers play four more non-conference games -- all at home against Florida Gulf Coast, IUPUI, Ball State and Maine -- before the full Big Ten schedule arrives in January.

  • Feb. 22 vs. Ohio State
  • Feb. 25 at Nebraska
  • Feb. 28 at Illinois
  • March 2 vs. Penn State
  • March 6 vs. Indiana
  • March 9 at Indiana

The 2023-24 Gophers are expected to be led by sophomores Pharrel Payne, Joshua Ola-Joseph, Braeden Carrington, junior Dawson Garcia, freshman guard Cam Christie, transfer guard Mike Mitchell, redshirt junior Isaiah Ihnen, redshirt freshman Kadyn Betts, redshirt senior Parker Fox and grad transfer Jack Wilson.
