Jamison Battle transfers from Gophers to Ohio State
Battle continues his collegiate career after two seasons with the Gophers
After leaving the Gophers basketball program in March, Jamison Battle announced Thursday morning he is committing to Ohio State.
Battle played for the Gophers the past two seasons after transferring to his home state from George Washington. This past season, Battle was second on the squad in scoring at 12.4 points per game, a drop from the 17.5 points per game he put up in 2021-22.
The Robbinsdale, Minnesota native who starred at DeLaSalle High School, entered the portal after the Gophers' 9-win season. His move into the NCAA transfer came as a bit of a surprise after Minnesota coach Ben Johnson had previously said Battle was leaving the program to explore pro options.
Instead, he'll face his former team in Big Ten play next season.
