Logan Cooley returning to Gophers for sophomore season

The Gopher's Men's Hockey team announced Friday that forward Logan Cooley will return to the program for his sophomore season.
Cooley was drafted third overall by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2022 NHL Draft but instead chose to play collegiately for the Gophers last season.

Cooley was a finalist for the Hobey Baker award after scoring 22 goals and registering 38 assists for the National Champion runners-up Gophers in 2022.
There was speculation online earlier this week that Cooley would once again choose the Gophers over going pro, after it was announced that the Coyotes had failed to get enough votes for their proposed stadium in Tempe.
