Fresh off of hosting the NCAA women's Final Four, Target Center and Minneapolis have been named the host venue and city for Big Ten basketball tournaments in 2023 and 2024

The Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament will be hosted there in 2023, while both the men's and women's tournaments will be held at Target Center in 2024.

"We are thrilled to bring the Big Ten Basketball Tournaments to Minneapolis, beginning with the Big Ten Women’s Tournament in 2023," said Big Ten Conference Commissioner Kevin Warren, who previously served as the chief operating officer of the Minnesota Vikings.

"Minneapolis has a strong history of hosting exceptional events such as the recent NCAA Women’s Final Four, and also features world-class venues and an outstanding base of Big Ten alumni and fans. We look forward to creating new memories and experiences for our student-athletes, coaches, and member institutions, further expanding our fanbase, cultivating relationships with the business community, and fostering a positive and lasting impact on the Twin Cities."

Indianapolis has hosted the women's tournament every year since 2016, and the men's conference tournament has bounced around the past five years: Washington, D.C. (2017), New York City (2018), Chicago (2019), and Indianapolis (2020-22).

The 2023 men's tournament will be held in Chicago.
