Minnesota Lynx hang on to win Game 2, force decider vs. Connecticut Sun
The Minnesota Lynx roared back with an 82-75 Game 2 win over the Connecticut Sun on Sunday, and both teams can now expect a boisterous atmosphere as they head to Minnesota for Game 3 at Target Center on Wednesday.
After being smoked 90-60 in the first game of their playoff series, Cheryl Reeve's No. 6 seeds upset the No. 3 Sun in their own backyard.
The Lynx were led by guard Kayla McBride, whose contract was extended by the Lynx earlier this month, and Napheesa Collier, with the pair putting up 28 and 26 points respectively.
The Lynx at one point were ahead by 16 points before the Sun surged back, cutting the deficit to just five points by the end of the third.
The sides were just three points apart with a few minutes remaining in a nervy fourth, but the Lynx were able to pull away as the clock ran down.
