Here are the brackets for the 2023 girls’ state basketball tournament

This year's tournament will begin on March 15.

After the MSHSL packed the Xcel Energy Center for the boys' state hockey tournament this weekend, it's time for girls' basketball to have its turn as the Minnesota girls' state basketball tournament begins on Mar. 15.

32 teams from four classes will compete for a state title in this year's tournament which will take place at Williams Arena, Maturi Pavillion and the Ganglehoff Center at Concordia University.

With action set to tip off, here's a look at the brackets for this year's tournament.

Class A – Thursday, Mar. 16 (Maturi Pavillion)

• 11 a.m. – No. 1 Mountain Iron-Buhl (27-3) vs. Minneota (21-8)
• 1 p.m. – No. 4 Underwood (26-3) vs. No. 5 Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (25-4)
• 3 p.m. – No. 2 Hayfield (28-3) vs. Badger-Greenbush-Middle River (26-3)
• 5 p.m. – No. 3 BOLD (24-5) vs. United Christian Academy (14-11)

Class AA – Wednesday, Mar. 15

• 6 p.m. – No. 1 Providence (27-2) vs. Lake Crystal-Welcome (29-1) (Williams Arena)
• 6 p.m. – No. 2 Goodhue (27-3) vs. Crosby-Ironton (23-7) (Maturi Pavillion)
