Andrew Wiggins' brother reacts to Jimmy Butler trade request: 'Hallelujah'
Rumors about Jimmy Butler having a strained relationship with Timberwolves teammate Andrew Wiggins were all but confirmed to be true Wednesday thanks to a tweet from Wiggins' brother.
Nick Wiggins, Andrew's older brother who plays basketball professionally in Canada, responded to a report of Jimmy Butler requesting a trade with a tweet that said nothing more than "Hallelujah."
He's since deleted the tweet, but not before we nabbed a screen shot of it.
It was reported earlier this summer that Butler doesn't like Wiggins' work-ethic and his approach to playing defense, two areas of focus that have helped turn Butler into one of the best players in the NBA.
For the Wolves, "Hallelujah" is about the last thing worth shouting because it's looking very likely that the Wolves have basically given away Zach Lavine, Kris Dunn and the No. 7 pick in last year's draft (another stud, Lauri Markkanen) for one year of Butler and the oft-injured Justin Patton.
It's going to go down as a brutal trade unless the Wolves can get something very good in return for Butler if they trade him.
