Anthony Edwards limps out of Team USA practice with ankle injury
Edwards was training with the USA Select team this summer.
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards was seen limping out of a practice with Team USA on Tuesday with a sprained ankle.
Edwards, along with Timberwolves teammate Naz Reid, was part of the U.S.A. Select Team that is helping Team USA prepare for the Olympics. Upon the conclusion of practice, Edwards was spotted limping on his way to the team bus by Las Vegas journalist Joe Nelson.
According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, Edwards' injury is not serious but is expected to keep him out of the rest of the Olympic training camp.
The No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Edwards was a bright spot for the Timberwolves last season, averaging 19.3 points per game and finishing second in the NBA's Rookie of the Year Award voting.
