Fresh off reportedly agreeing to a $260 million max contract with the Wolves, Anthony Edwards has his sights set on being the best player in the NBA.

"I think I should be in conversations about being one of the best players in the NBA," said Edwards when asked by NBA TV's Chris Haynes about where he sees himself heading into Year 4. "Not now but after next year I will be."

Haynes asked why next year and Edwards replied: "I mean, because of the season I'm going to have."

That wasn't Edwards's only alpha moment of the day. Earlier, when talking with former Minnesota teammate Austin Rivers on ESPN's NBA Today, Edwards was asked what he needs to do to take another step to be among the best in the game.

"Just kill, kill everybody. That's my mindset every time. Anytime I match up against any of those guys I'm going to guard them, hopefully they guard me and I showcase that I'm a lot better than them," he said.
