Less than a week after being waived by the Minnesota Timberwolves, free-agent guard Bryn Forbes was arrested in Texas Wednesday morning for alleged domestic violence.

According to the Bexar County Jail records, Forbes was arrested for "assault bodily injury" at 5:17 a.m. and booked into the San Antonio jail at 9:50 a.m. He was released around 12 p.m. CST. 

His bond was set at $2,500 and the pending charge is defined as a misdemeanor, according to jail records. 

News 4 San Antonio reports that Forbes allegedly hit a woman "several times during an argument."

Forbes was released by the Timberwolves last week following the NBA trade deadline. he averaged 3.6 points in 25 games with Minnesota this season.
