In what will go down as one of the best decisions in franchise history, the Minnesota Timberwolves appear to be on the verge of bringing back the throwback uniforms that they wore for home games from 1989 to 1996. 

The white throwbacks that feature "WOLVES" across the front of the jersey have long been favorited by fans, and one fan happened to be near Target Center Wednesday morning when a giant screen inside the arena – visible from the outside – revealed Anthony Edwards wearing his new No. 5 in the old school jersey. 

Kyle Theige, who covers the Timberwolves for SKOR North and works with Timberwolves reporter Dane Moore, reported Sept. 15 that white throwbacks could be the team's Hardwood Classics uniform this season. 

Earlier this year the Timberwolves unveiled lake-themed City Edition jerseys that will be worn on occasion during the 2023-24 season. Here they are if you haven't seen them yet...
