Knicks the latest good team to be crushed by Timberwolves in Minneapolis
Minneapolis is where good NBA teams go to die. The Knicks (8-5) are the latest talented team to arrive in Minnesota and take a whooping from the Timberwolves (10-3).
Minnesota’s 117-100 win Monday night sent the Knicks back to New York with just their second loss in their last eight games as they join the Heat, Celtics, Nuggets and Pelicans as playoff-caliber teams to leave the Timberwolves' den with a loss.
The game was close until the Wolves won the third quarter 35-19, opening up a lead as large as 22 points.
Final stats:

The win has Minnesota at 10-3 overall and sitting alone atop the Western Conference standings. The Wolves are also 6-0 at Target Center with another big challenge coming to town Wednesday night against Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and the 10-3 Philadelphia 76ers.
It wasn’t all good for Minnesota as defensive stopper Jaden McDaniels suffered a sprained right ankle just 4:30 into the first quarter. It’s unclear how much time he will miss.
