Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards was not voted into the NBA All-Star Game as a reserve. He was snubbed while seven others were picked by NBA coaches to represent the Western Conference during All-Star Weekend.

Western Conference reserves: Ja Morant, Domantas Sabonis, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Paul George, Damian Lillard, Lauri Markkanen and Jaren Jackson Jr.

Eastern Conference reserves: Joel Embiid, DeMar DeRozan, Jaylen Brown, Bam Adebayo, Jrue Holiday, Julius Randle and Tyrese Haliburton.

Edwards is averaging 24.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.7 steals this season and has led the Timberwolves to a 28-26 overall record, good for sixth place in the West and technically tied with the fifth-place Dallas Mavericks. The Clippers are in fourth place, just one game ahead of Minnesota and Dallas.

Edwards is riding a stretch of five consecutive games with at least 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At just 21 years old, he joins Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Luka Doncic as the only players in NBA history to post five such games in a row before turning 22.

His 536 career 3-pointers is the most in NBA history before turning 22 years old. Second place on the list is Doncic, who hit 419 3s before age 22. Edwards turns 22 in August.

In the last five games, Edwards is averaging 31.2 points on 50.4% shooting and 40.9% from 3-point range along with 7.4 rebounds and 5.6 rebounds. According to the Wolves, Edwards and LeBron James are only players posting those numbers in the past five games.

Edwards and the Timberwolves host the Orlando Magic at 7 p.m. CT Friday.
