Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Anthony Edwards had the internet buzzing on Friday night as he threw down a "Dunk of the Year" candidate against the Toronto Raptors. While many including Patrick Mahomes took to social media to celebrate the dunk, Edwards has one detractor.

NBA analyst Nate Duncan took to Twitter to point out Edwards' overall performance against the Raptors which included seven points on 3-of-14 shooting and 0-of-7 on 3-point attempts.

Duncan's point was validated after the game as Edwards brought up his poor shooting performance in a game where the Timberwolves went scoreless for the final 3:40 in a 86-81 loss to the Raptors.

Regardless of the result, NBA fans were quick to jump on Twitter to throw down on Duncan's criticism. One user referenced Kevin Garnett's 1998 Nike commercial and suggested that someone call the Fun Police.

Banner Society's Brian Floyd suggested that Duncan be subjected to an old-fashioned Minnesota snowball pelting.

Other users took part in treating Duncan like Edwards treated Toronto forward Yuta Watanabe on Friday night.
