Patrick Beverley is disappointed that Karl-Anthony Towns didn't put Draymond Green in a choke hold in response to Green doing that very move on Rudy Gobert during Tuesday night's Fracas in 'Frisco.

"KAT, bogus as hell. Straight up, and Ant was back there too. Like, for real. You see someone choking your team out, it would've been a choking line, every [bleeper] get choked," Beverley said on his podcast. "And Draymond knew, too. I know Draymond. Draymond knew. He, 'OK, this is the moment right here, yeah.'"

"Don't nobody like Rudy anyway," Beverley continued. "That was the perfect moment to do it. Like, '[bleep] it, let me choke Rudy [bleep].' And you know Draymond, he going for the biggest [bleeper]. That was very strategic."

Towns tried to be a peacemaker when chaos erupted less than two minutes into the scoreless game. Klay Thompson grabbed Jaden McDaniels' jersey and McDaniels retaliated by ripping Thompson's jersey, and when Gobert put an arm around Thompson it was Green running into the melee to put Gobert in a choke hold.

To Beverley, Towns didn't do enough to protect his teammate.

"I see KAT make a mean mug face, but then you ain't doing s***. Choke Draymond back," Beverley said. "So now, if I'm Draymond, I'm, 'Yeah, I choked their center and their homies didn't do nothing. That's how I'm looking at it. Straight up."

To Towns, it was a show of maturity, and one that kept him on the court to help the Timberwolves to a seventh consecutive victory.

"Shoutout to the Minnesota Wild, it was like a hockey game to start the game, but we just found a way to stay composed. It was a mature win," Towns said on Bally Sports North immediately after the final horn. "They tried to rattle us, they tried to get us off our game. We did a great job sticking to our game plan throughout the game to find a way to win."

"I ain't promoting violence, but if you're in a situation like that you gotta stand up for your team. And it's perfect for [Towns] because everything they say about KAT and how you not this and not that, like [bleep] that, the whole thing change right there," said Beverley.

"He's choking my teammate, you get choked back. Feel me? That shouldn't even be an issue."

Towns stood up for his team in a big way, scoring 33 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. He scored nine straight points for Minnesota when they were struggling against he undermanned Warriors, and in the fourth quarter he drilled three 3s in the fourth quarter, including one with 1:07 remaining to give Minnesota the lead for good.

But that's not what Beverley is concerned about.

"We talking about why KAT didn't choke Draymond back," Beverley said. "KAT, nah, [bleep] that. I taught you better than that."
