Karl-Anthony Towns will be in the lineup for the first time in nearly four months when the Minnesota Timberwolves host the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday night in Minneapolis.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Wednesday morning that towns "will return tonight," so long as he doesn't suffer a setback in pregame warmups.

Towns has missed 51 consecutive games since suffering a torn right calf muscle against the Washington Wizards on Nov. 28. The 7-footer revealed to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic earlier this week that 95% of his calf muscle was torn and he suffered a setback in January.

Now apparently good to go, Towns will make his highly-anticipated return to the Timberwolves as they fight for their playoff lives. With nine games left in the regular season, Minnesota enters play Wednesday in ninth place in the Western Conference, only one game behind sixth place Golden State and only a half-game in front of 12th place New Orleans.
