Timberwolves dominated by lowly Rockets
The Minnesota Timberwolves were blown out Saturday night as the Houston Rockets handed Minnesota a (SCORE) defeat.
One night after remaining scoreless for the final 7:31 of the game, the Rockets came out of the gates on fire. Houston hung 41 points on the Timberwolves in the opening frame and saw five players score in double figures.
That included 25 points from Kevin Porter Jr. who helped lead the Rockets to a 74-48 lead at halftime.
While the Rockets burned down the nets, Karl-Anthony Towns went to work, putting up 27 points and 15 rebounds on the night.
Anthony Edwards also had 27 points but there wasn't a 22-point run to save the Timberwolves who fell behind by as much as 34 points.
With the loss, the Timberwolves remained the worst team in the NBA with an 11-34 record. The Wolves will head to Brooklyn to face the Nets on Monday night.
