The Minnesota Timberwolves are battling for playoff position in Sunday's game with the New Orleans Pelicans, but they've already had an afternoon.

After picking up his second foul late in the first quarter, Timberwolves wing Jaden McDaniels was injured when he appeared to punch a wall in the tunnel.

The normally stoic McDaniels was shown icing his hand on the bench after the incident and was ruled out by Timberwolves PR staff shortly after halftime.

With Gobert also being sent home after throwing a punch at teammate Kyle Anderson later in the first half, the Timberwolves are down their top two defenders against the Pelicans.
