Only 90 seconds passed in the first quarter before the rematch between the Timberwolves and Warriors got ugly as Klay Thompson and Draymond Green were involved in a scuffle with Minnesota's Jaden McDaniels and Rudy Gobert.

With the score knotted at 0-0, McDaniels and Thompson were tugging on each other's jerseys and wound up in a shoving match near center court. As Gobert seemed to be attempting to break up the scrum, Green put Gobert in a headlock as a mess of bodies moved across the court.

The Warriors broadcast crew had Green's back, namely longtime announcer Bob Fitzgerald, who said, ""The reason Draymond went so demonstrobly is that Gobert had Klay in a headlock, and Draymond's not feeling that at all."

Thompson and McDaniels were assessed technical fouls worthy of ejections and Green was ejected for a level 2 flagrant foul.

The Warriors are playing Tuesday night without Steph Curry, who scored 38 points in a 116-110 loss to Minnesota on Sunday night. Sunday's game featured some solid gamesmanship (trash talking) between Green and Anthony Edwards, but at no point did things get ugly (other than Chris Paul appearing to dive into Mike Conley's legs).
