Byron Buxton placed on Paternity List, Trevor Larnach recalled

Buxton is expected to miss three-game series against Mariners

The Twins have placed designated hitter Byron Buxton on the Paternity List ahead of game one of a three-game series against the Mariners.

Buxton left Target Field immediately after Sunday's win over the Chicago White Sox, with his wife Lindsey expected to give birth to their third child.

As a replacement, the Twins have recalled Trevor Larnach from St. Paul for the series.

In 81 games this season, Buxton has been slashing .195/.284/.418 with 17 home runs and 40 RBI.

Larnach hit .211 with six home runs and 31 RBI in 47 games with the Twins earlier this season.
