Fox Sports North rebrands to Bally Sports North, sets Twins TV schedule
All 162 Minnesota Twins games will be televised this season, including 156 games on what was formerly known as Fox Sports North.
Fox Sports North is rebranding to Bally Sports North, which confirms a January report that indicated the rebrand would take place sometime before the start of the MLB season. The naming rights to Sinclair Broadcasting's regional sports network were sold to Bally's.
While the FSN acronym will be replaced with BSN, the names and faces broadcasting Twins games in 2021 will remain mostly unchanged. Dick Bremer will be the television broadcast announcer, and he'll be joined by commentators Roy Smalley, Justin Morneau and LaTroy Hawkins.
Missing from the screen this season will be Twins Hall of Fame pitcher Bert Blyleven, whose role with the regional sports network has declined in recent years. His final broadcast was last September.
Jack Morris, Minnesota's Game 7 hero in the 1991 World Series, also isn't listed by BSN as a commentator.
Marney Gellner and Audra Martin will be the sideline reporters, while Anthony LaPanta, Annie Sabo, Tim Laudner and Glen Perkins will work the pre and postgame shows, "Twins Live."
Five of the Twins' 162 games this summer will be nationally televised, which may be easier to find on the TV guide than the 156 that will air on BSN. That's because BSN is not available through most streaming services, meaning cord-cutters could have a hard time catching their favorite team, much the way Wild and Timberwolves fans are going without catching games this season.
The first game day broadcast on BSN is Thursday, April 1, when the Twins visit the Milwaukee Brewers. Opening Day coverage begins at 12:30 p.m.
