Here are the teams the Twins will face in the 60-game regular season
Pending the behavior of the coronavirus, Major League Baseball is set to launch a 60-game regular season beginning July 23 or July 24, and the Twins just so happen to have the easiest schedule of any team in the big leagues.
The schedule is the easiest based on last season's standings, and because Minnesota will only play games against divisional foes and teams from the National League Central Division, they only face four teams that had a winning record in 2019.
Minnesota will face the Indians, Tigers, White Sox and Royals 10 times each, which takes up 40 of the 60-game schedule. The Twins will also play the five teams from the NL Central, the Cubs, Reds, Cardinals, Pirates and Brewers.
According to The Athletic, six of those interleague games would be against their chief NL Central rival, which in the Twins case is the Brewers. The remaining 14 games would be against the other four NL Central teams.
"The breakdown of the other 14 games has yet to be finalized, but is expected to involve each team playing two interleague opponents three times apiece and the other two clubs four times apiece," writes Jayson Stark.
That's it. They won't play the Yankees, Astros or any other American League contender unless they happen to meet in the postseason, which will feature 10 teams per usual.
