The Homer Hanky is back for the Twins' playoff push, but they're not the white handkerchiefs that fans remember from the World Series runs in 1987 and 1991.

The 2019 Homer Hanky, unveiled by the Star Tribune on Thursday, is red with white lettering that reads: "2019 Homer Hanky," along with this year's theme "WELCOME TO BOMBA SZN."

Bomba SZN represents "Bomba Season," or the season of homers, as the Twins set the new MLB record with 307 long balls en route to winning 101 games and landing a spot in the American League Division Series against the New York Yankees.

The Homer Hanky is on sale at all Minnesota Cub Foods locations and at the Twins team stores at Target Field (beginning Friday).

Every fan attending Games 3 or 4 at Target Field will be given a Homer Hanky, and the same goes for any home games the Twins have in the playoffs beyond the ALDS.

Another new twist, the Star Tribune says, is that the 2019 hankies are better fabric, making them more towel-like. The newspaper notes that they couldn't bring back the white hankies because MLB rules now outlaw white signage of any kind because it can make it harder for players to see the white baseball.

The hankies cost $3 via the Star Tribune, so maybe don't panic buy one for $10 on eBay.
