Josh Donaldson has injury scare 1 inning into Twins opener

Minnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson exited Thursday's season opener against the Milwaukee Brewers due to tightness in his hamstring.
Donaldson got off to a great start in 2021 by hitting a double off Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff. As Donaldson rounded first base, he began to limp and gingerly made his way to second base.

Donaldson stayed in the game for the remainder of the inning but was replaced by Luis Arraez in the bottom half.
The 35-year-old is coming off a disappointing first season in Minnesota after a calf injury limited him to 28 games in 2020. Donaldson was productive when on the field, compiling an .842 OPS in 102 plate appearances but hit just .222 with 6 HR and 11 RBI.
Donaldson is in the second year of a four-year, $92 million contract signed in January 2020.
