Twins' 6-game win streak snapped by Brewers' late homer
Orlando Arcia hit a two-run homer off of Twins left-handed reliever Taylor Rogers to put the Brewers ahead of the Twins 5-4 in the eighth inning Monday night, proving to be the winning hit to snap Minnesota's six-game winning streak.
The Twins put runners on first and second with one out in the ninth inning against Brewers All-Star closer Josh Hader, but Eddie Rosario popped out to center on the first pitch he saw and Miguel Sano struck out on three fastballs to end the game.
Despite the loss, the Twins still lead the AL Central by 10 games over second-place Cleveland, and with an overall record of 36-17, they still own the best winning percentage in the majors.
The Twins scored all of their runs in the second inning, highlighted by Byron Buxton's three-run homer into the bullpen over the left-center field wall.
FYI: The craziest play of the game was when Willians Astudillo sent a liner up the middle that nearly hit Milwaukee reliever Jeremy Jeffress in the face. Instead, Jeffress was able to access his inner Matrix and lean out of the way and make the catch.
