Miguel Sano (knee sprain) and Kyle Garlick (calf strain) have been placed on the 10-day injured list, the Twins announced Monday. Taking their spots on the 26-man roster are infielder Jose Miranda and left-handed pitcher Jovani Moran, who were called up from Triple-A St. Paul.

The Twins also optioned catcher Jose Godoy and reliever Cole Sands to the St. Paul Saints.

Miranda, the younger cousin of "Hamilton" superstar Lin-Manuel Miranda, has dominated in the minor leagues. He's the Twins' third-ranked prospect and has hit .256 with two homers, 10 doubles and 12 RBIs this season.

But he led the minors in hits a year ago and obliterated Triple-A pitching to the tune of .343/.397/.563 with 17 homers, 24 doubles and 54 RBIs in 80 games.

There's a chance that he's in the starting lineup when the Twins open a four-game series in Baltimore Monday night.

Moran, 25, has struck out 14 batters in 7.1 innings this season. He's allowed nine hits and opponents are hitting .300 against him.
