There's something in the water in Minnesota...

Rocco Baldelli hit 99 doubles in his MLB career and now 13 years later he's connected for number 100. The Minnesota Twins manager and his wife will welcome twin babies to the world later this year.

Allie Baldelli made the happy announcement Wednesday night on Instagram, posting a photo of the couple's first child holding a panel of ultrasound images with a caption that reads: "'Two babies'…..she’s right! BOY TWINS due in September."

Genetics? Perhaps. But maybe there's a stronger power at play, like the energy from the Twins organization making the birth of twins more likely. On July 25, 2013, Twins icon Joe Mauer and his wife Maddie welcomed twin girls to the world.

Science be damned.

More importantly, there's a pretty decent chance, barring a planned delivery date, that Baldelli will need to miss a road trip or hop on a private jet when Allie goes into labor because the Twins have 15 road games and only nine home games in September.

Report: Twins quietly extended Rocco Baldelli 'through at least 2025'
