Minnesota Twins pitcher Sonny Gray was selected as the team's lone representative at this year's MLB All-Star Game as the reserves and pitching staff were announced on Sunday night.

Gray is 4-2 with a 2.50 ERA this season and is coming off a strong outing on Sunday afternoon where he threw six shutout innings in the Twins' 2-1 loss to the Baltimore Orioles.

This will mark Gray's third All-Star selection as he made the team in 2015 with the Oakland Athletics and 2019 as a member of the Cincinnati Reds but did not pitch in either appearance.

Gray is also the lone Twins player to be selected in this year's game as relief pitcher Jhoan Duran (2-3, 1.93 ERA, 12 saves) and starting pitcher Joe Ryan (8-5, 3.44 ERA) did not make the team.

This year's All-Star Game will be played at T-Mobile Park in Seattle on July 11.
