The Minnesota Twins have placed Carlos Correa on the 10-day injured list after he re-aggravated his chronic plantar fasciitis on Monday.

The shortstop will now take a break as the end of the season draws near, with Trevor Larnach called up to replace him.

The Twins will be hoping Correa is good to go in time for the playoffs, and adding him to the IR could give him the chance to recover and will be eligible to return for the last series of the season against the Colorado Rockies, which starts on Sept. 29.

They could also be without Royce Lewis for at least a few days too, with the rookie star leaving Tuesday's game with hamstring tightness and is considered day-to-day.

It shouldn't have much of a bearing on the remainder of the season, with the Twins' magic number to clinch the playoffs down to three after Tuesday's games, but getting Correa and Lewis healthy for the postseason is an absolute must if Minnesota is to have any chance of breaking its 18-game losing streak.
