Twins place Royce Lewis on 10-day Injured List with hamstring strain

Royce Lewis has officially been put on the 10-day Injured List with a strained hamstring.
Lewis left Tuesday's game after experiencing "shooting pain" during an at-bat in the eighth inning of the Twins' 7-0 win over the Reds.
His addition to the IL is retroactive to Thursday, so he could return for the Twins' final game of the season against the Colorado Rockies on Oct. 1, two days before the MLB playoffs start.
The Twins have recalled Jordan Luplow from Triple-A St. Paul.

Good news: It's a strain, not a tear.

The rookie infielder has his .309 with 15 home runs and 52 RBI in 58 games for the Twins in 2023.
The Twins could clinch the AL Central title with a win Friday night against the Angels, securing their first trip back to the playoffs since 2020.
