Twins prospect stretchered off following scary collision

Lamonte David was able to give the thumbs up despite needing the stretcher.

Twins No. 17 prospect Lamonte Wade was taken off the diamond on a stretcher Saturday evening during an Arizona Fall League game.

Wade was diving for a ball hit to the outfield gap, where he never saw his teammate coming. His head went right into the midsection of the oncoming fielder. Wade needed a stretcher to take him off the field.

An encouraging sign, Minor League Baseball tweeted that Wade indeed gave the crowd a thumbs up as he was being wheeled off the field.
