The Minnesota Twins hammered the Texas rangers 12-2 Friday night in Minneapolis, marking the eighth straight loss for the reeling Rangers.

Meanwhile, the Twins have already guaranteed a split in the four-game series with the AL West leaders and they did so in powerful fashion for a second night in a row, blasting three home runs in the win.

Rookie slugger Matt Wallner got the hit party started with a bases-clearing triple in the first city. Ryan Jeffers, who was the hero in Thursday night’s Twins win over Texas, added an RBI single for an early 4-0 lead.

Carlos Correa launched a solo home run in the seventh, followed by a three run homer by Eddy Julian to highlight a 6-run inning.

Max Kepler hit Minnesota’s third long ball of the night with a solo shot in the eighth.

The Twins have hit eight homers in the past two games.

Up next: Twins vs. Rangers, Saturday at 6:15 p.m. CT.
