The Twins will open the 2024 MLB regular season for the second season in a row against the Royals in Kansas City. Major League Baseball announced the schedule for the 2024 season with Opening Day set for Thursday, March 28. That'll equal the earliest opener in Twins history, joining the 2018 opener that happened on March 28 against the Cleveland Guardians.

The only other March regular season game in Twins history was the 2008 opener on March 31 against the Los Angeles Angels. Minnesota is 2-0 all time in March regular season games.

Being in Kansas City should help avoid any late-March cold and snow in the Twin Cities, though who knows what Mother Nature will have up her sleeve for the Home Opener on April 4 when the Twins host the Guardians at Target Field.

The Twins will close out the 2024 regular season with a six-game homestand against the Miami Marlins and Baltimore Orioles.

Next season will see the Interleague schedule from this season swap the home teams, meaning the Twins will be hosting the Dodgers, Rockies, Brewers, Phillies, Cardinals, Braves, Reds and Marlins, whereas they are visiting those teams this season.

Minnesota's 2024 National League opponents at Target Field:

  • Los Angeles Dodgers (April 8-10)
  • Colorado Rockies (June 10-12)
  • Milwaukee Brewers (July 20-21)
  • Philadelphia Phillies (July 22-24)
  • St. Louis Cardinals (August 23-25)
  • Atlanta Braves (August 26-28)
  • Cincinnati Reds (September 13-15)
  • Miami Marlins (September 24-26)

The Twins will have 13 home games in April, 17 in May, 10 in June, 11 in July, 17 in August and 13 in September. Additionally, they'll host games on Memorial Day (May 27, Royals) and Independence Day (July 4, Detroit Tigers).
