Minnesota Twins infielder Royce Lewis was involved in a scary moment during the series finale with the Cleveland Guardians as he was involved in a collision at first base in the bottom of the eighth inning on Sunday afternoon.

Lewis hit a ground ball to third base and made his way up the line as Jose Ramirez fired to first base. The throw beat Lewis to the bag for the third out of the inning, but Lewis collided over the top of Guardians first baseman Gabriel Arias and landed on his head and neck area.

Lewis was down for several moments but was able to walk off on his own power and was later seen in the Twins' dugout. As the designated hitter, Lewis was not officially taken out of the game but did not have another at-bat in the 2-1 loss.

The 23-year-old has had his share of injury issues during his career, tearing his ACL twice in a span of 15 months. Coming off his most recent ACL tear, Lewis had Twins fans holding their breath as he put a large divot in the outfield on Thursday night and tweaked his knee getting out of the way of a pitch on Friday night.
