3 more Vikings placed on reserve/COVID-19 list
The Minnesota Vikings placed three more players on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday including starting defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo.
Odenigbo is the biggest name in the latest round of players to be placed on the list as he's projected to fill the expected departure of Everson Griffen.
In part-time duty between defensive tackle and right end, Odenigbo collected a career-high seven sacks for the Vikings and leaves another hole in the front line after Michael Pierce opted out of the 2020 season earlier this week.
With linebacker Cameron Smith and offensive lineman Oli Udoh also being placed on the list, they join four rookies that were placed on the list on Monday including first-round pick Justin Jefferson. Head athletic trainer Eric Sugarman also tested positive for the virus over the past weekend.
Teams are not allowed to disclose whether a player has tested positive for COVID-19 or was in contact with someone who has the virus, but the return table differs in either situation with players testing positive sitting out at least the next 10 days.
