Caribou to offer 3 boozy drinks to Vikings fans starting at the Packers game
This is something Vikings fans probably could have done with when they were playing at the frigid TCF Bank Stadium.
The Minnesota Vikings announced that starting this Sunday, when the Vikings take on hated rivals the Green Bay Packers, Caribou Coffee will open its first-ever alcoholic coffee bar in the southwest concourse of U.S. Bank Stadium.
The menu features the usual nonalcoholic drinks, alongside three specialty alcoholic drinks to give Vikings fans a real pick-me-up.
The new drinks are:
- Spiked Mint Condition: A peppermint schnapps and mocha.
- White Rushin': Cold press, Kahlua and vodka.
- Irish coffee: Hot or cold coffee with Irish whiskey.
Every drink will be decorated with a "purple whip and a brownie flight."
"We pride ourselves on providing our fans with a memorable experience at U.S. Bank Stadium, and this partnership with Caribou will certainly add to that," Vikings chief marketing officer Steve LaCroix said in the news release. "Being able to work with another Minnesota company to bring these drinks inside U.S. Bank Stadium is something we’re certain our fans will enjoy."
Unfortunately, like seemingly everything in the stadium, the drinks won't be cheap. The Star Tribune reports the 16-ounce cups will cost fans $12.
The area where the new bar will be placed is still under construction, but here's how it will look:
