Check out Paul Allen's call of the Vikings' game-winning TD
When it comes to the emotions of a Minnesota Vikings game, nobody does it like play-by-play announcer Paul Allen. Whether it be the heartbreak of Nathan Poole's touchdown or the euphoria of the Minneapolis Miracle, Allen has put his stamp on some of the most memorable moments in franchise history.
On Sunday, the Vikings put another chapter into their book as they scored an upset victory in overtime to defeat the New Orleans Saints. With the Vikings as heavy underdogs and holding on despite blowing a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter, there was certainly some emotion built up as Kyle Rudolph snagged the game-winning touchdown over A.J. Klein.
As usual, Allen was the one to put everything together with a tremendous call on KFAN's broadcast of the game.
Starts at around 0:30.
The touchdown was temporarily questioned but stood and Allen was more than happy to kick off the celebration, finishing things off with "Bonjour San Francisco and au revoir New Orleans!"
Rudolph's touchdown was the final shot of adrenaline for Viking fans who entered this game feeling like there was a small glimmer that their team could pull off a victory. Now that the Vikings have won, they will be leaving their french dictionaries and gumbo behind for a trip to the bay to see if they can advance to the NFC Championship for the second time in three seasons.
