Did Eagles ask Vikings about trading for Harrison Smith?
Did the Philadelphia Eagles try to fill one of the few holes on their roster with longtime Viking Harrison Smith.
"The Eagles inquired about Harrison Smith before they made the deal for the Titans safety Kevin Byard," KSTP's Darren Wolfson said on Tuesday's Mackey & Judd Show. "Not that the Vikings came close to striking a deal with Philly."
Philadelphia eventually agreed to a deal with the Tennessee Titans for safety Kevin Byard. Minnesota is now seemingly out of the sellers market -- at least temporarily -- after Monday night's 22-17 win over the 49ers brought them to within a game of .500 and a playoff spot in the NFC.
Smith has spent 12 years with the Vikings after Minnesota selected him in the first-round of the 2012 draft. The 34-year-old has 34 career interceptions, second most among active players.
