Former Minnesota Vikings cornerback Bashaud Breeland is out of jail after posting $30,000 bond following his arrest early Tuesday morning. 

According to jail records out of Mecklenburg County in North Carolina, Breeland was booked into jail at 2:12 a.m. ET Tuesday and released at 4:40 a.m. ET after posting bond. 

Breeland is facing eight charges, including numerous felonies, per jail records. 

  1. Possession of a stolen motor vehicle
  2. Altering serial numbers
  3. Altering a title
  4. Possession with Intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance
  5. Possession of a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver
  6. Maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for use, storage, or sale of controlled substances
  7. Possession of a stolen firearm 
  8. Larceny of motor vehicle parts

According to WBTV, the police report accuses Breeland being in possession of a stolen Mercedes-Benz SUV, multiple guns, including two AR-15s and two AK-47s, more than five pounds of marijuana, 62 grams of mushrooms and other drug paraphernalia. 

Breeland signed with the Vikings in 2021 but was cut in mid-December that season after an alleged incident during practice. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the incident began when Breeland got into an argument with coaches, and ended with Breeland allegedly taking off his cleats and using them in a fight.
