Ex-Viking Nate Burleson to become co-host of 'CBS This Morning'
Nate Burleson was a good NFL player, but it's becoming clear that his talents as a television broadcaster exceed what he was able to accomplish as a professional athlete.
The former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver is set to become a co-host of CBS This Morning, according to Stephen Battaglio of the Los Angeles Times. Burleson is expected to replace CBS News' Anthony Mason, who is transitioning to a role as a culture correspondent, Battaglio reports.
Burleson is currently a co-host of NFL Network's Good Morning Football, in addition to working as an analyst on the CBS pregame show, NFL Today, and a correspondent on Extra.

The 39-year-old former Vikings, Seahawk and Lion will join CBS This Morning and fellow hosts Gayle King and Tony Dokoupil next month, according to Battaglio.
Burleson spent the first three seasons of his 11-year NFL career in Minnesota, where he caught 127 passes for 1,789 yards and 12 touchdowns.
In 2004, lining up opposite of Randy Moss, Burleson put together his best season as a pro with 68 receptions for more than 1,000 yards and 9 touchdowns.
