Justin Jefferson, 24, has more receiving yards than any player in Chicago Bears history

It's OK. It's not like the Bears have been around since 1920 or anything...

Justin Jefferson put up 150 yards in Week 1 and he followed up with 159 yards in Week 2. Minnesota lost both games but for this story the only thing that matters is that Jefferson already has more yards in his career than any wide receiver in the history of the Chicago Bears.

On Thursday night Jefferson became the fastest player to reach 5,000 receiving yards in NFL history, needing just 52 games to reach the milestone.

Odell Beckham Jr. was the previous record-holder at 54 games. And oh by the way, Beckham Jr.'s mother is from Windom, Minnesota, so Minnesota basically owns the top two spots on the list.

Johnny Morris is the Bears' all-time leading receiver with 5,059 yards and he did that in 121 games. So it goes for the franchise that has been around since 1920. Ouch.

Jefferson now ranks ninth on the Vikings' all-time receiving list.

  1. Cris Carter - 12,383 yards
  2. Randy Moss - 9,316
  3. Anthony Carter - 7,636
  4. Adam Thielen - 6,682
  5. Jake Reed - 6,433
  6. Sammy White - 6,400
  7. Steve Jordan - 6,307
  8. Ahmad Rashad - 5,489
  9. Justin Jefferson - 5,134
  10. Stefon Diggs - 4,623

But Jefferson is first in Vikings history at a whopping 98.7 yards per game. That blows everyone out of the water, even Moss, who averaged 82.4 yards per game, and Carter's 65.9 yards per game.

Those are hall of famers that Jefferson is beating. It's crazy what the 24-year-old is doing. We're just two games in to the season, but he's currently on pace for 2,626 yards.

Sign him up, Vikings.
