Justin Jefferson has a message in response to continued gloating by Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander: "I guess we gonna see what all the talk is about."

Jefferson was interviewed by Zach Aldridge of CBS Sports this week and the Minnesota Vikings superstar was showed a clip of Pete Prisco asking Alexander about the second meeting between the Vikings and Packers last season. In the first game, Jefferson lit up Alexander and the Packers with nine receptions for 184 yards and two touchdowns. In the second game in Week 16, Jefferson was held to one catch and five yards.

"I said all week it was a fluke," Alexander told Prisco in reference to Jefferson's monster game in Week 1, "so when he came into Lambeau he thought he was going to come in there griddy'ing, but I was the one griddy'ing. That's all it was. It was just fun."

Prisco then lofted Alexander onto a new level by saying "you beat him up a little bit."

"Somebody had to," chirped Alexander. "They was letting him go free all year. Not me."

"It's just him talking. Nobody's really worried about him," Jefferson responded. "They had their intentions to really take me out of the game. Everything about that day was to take me out the game, to not let me touch the ball, to do things to really take me out my game. At that point in the season we already had solidified in the playoffs, we had already won the division. I didn't even play the whole game. But you can't call a 180-yarder a fluke, that's something that's not a fluke. You just can't walk up on 180 yards in the NFL, especially being one of the top players. They played totally different the second time. They did not even play man the second time at all. So that statement of him playing man and beating me up all game is very not true and if you see the film you can see it."

Jefferson continued: "For him to do a griddy off an incomplete pass is very funny to me. It just goes to show you the amount of attention that he was trying to give me by just doing stuff like that, trash talking after every play. Things like that, it's funny to me. There's always a target on my back, there's always people trying to take me out of the game, make their mark on me once they get those opportunities. It's all good."

The Vikings play the Packers at Lambeau Field in Week 8 (Oct. 29) and then host Green Bay on Sunday Night Football on New Year's Eve.

"I guess we gonna see what all the talk is about and hopefully they don't have me doubled teamed with a safety over the top," said Jefferson.
