Kirk Cousins, Patrick Mahomes to feature in behind-the-scenes Netflix doc 'Quarterback'
If you've ever wanted a behind-the-scenes look at the day-to-day life of Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, then Netflix is granting your wish.
Kirk Cousins, Marcus Mariota of the Falcons, and league-MVP Patrick Mahomes are featured in a new Netflix documentary "Quarterback," that followed the trio throughout the 2022 season.
Netflix describes the series as "a new docu-series that will take a unique look at each season, told through the lens of NFL quarterbacks."
In a press release, Netflix says the three quarterbacks were mic'd up for every single game of the season.
Here's a synopsis:
"The upcoming show will feature behind-the-scenes access to some of the biggest moments of the season, as Mahomes set an NFL record for total offense on his way to winning the league and Super Bowl MVP awards; Cousins engineered the greatest comeback in NFL history and led the Minnesota Vikings to an NFC North Division title; and Mariota took over as the starting quarterback in his first season with the Atlanta Falcons."
Cousins helped guide the 2022 Vikings to a 13-4 record and their first NFC North title since 2017.
Mahomes' production company 2PM produces the series, alongside Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions and NFL Films.
"Quarterback" is set to debut in the summer of 2023.
The streaming company has leaned heavily into the sports documentaries after the success of "Drive to Survive," a docu-series capturing a season in F1 racing.
In January Netflix released a tennis series "Break Point" along with a golf series "Full Swing" earlier in February.
